Moraliaty is declining as can be seen by:  Increased acceptance of violence and crime; Increased sexualization of children; Increased use of profanity and vulgar language;  Increased disrespect for authority; Increased materialism and greed; Increased social isolation; and Increased mental health problems.  

What contributes to this decline?

• The rise of individualism: In recent decades, there has been a growing emphasis on individualism, which has led to a decline in traditional values and a greater acceptance of personal freedom. This has made it more acceptable for people to act in ways that would have been considered immoral in the past, such as having casual sex or engaging in criminal activity.
• The decline of religion: Religion has traditionally played a major role in shaping moral values, but its influence has waned in recent years. This is due in part to the rise of secularism, as well as to the increasing diversity of our society. As a result, people are no longer as likely to be guided by religious teachings when making moral decisions.
• The impact of technology: Technology has also played a role in the perceived moral decay of our culture. The rise of social media, for example, has made it easier for people to connect with others who share their views, even if those views are considered extreme or harmful. This has created echo chambers where people are only exposed to information that confirms their existing beliefs, and it has made it more difficult for them to see the other side of an issue.
• The media: The media also plays a role in shaping our moral values. News stories and entertainment programming often focus on violence, crime, and other negative aspects of society. This can lead to a desensitization to these issues and a perception that the world is a more dangerous place than it actually is

But what causes the rise of individualism? The decline of religion?
What causes the media to chose violence and crime over stories that uplift and promote good morals and ethnics. Just how did we get to where we are?
