The Bible is filled with stories of God’s power and love, and one of the most powerful stories is Jesus’ resurrection. This story talks of how Jesus was crucified, died, and was buried, only to be raised three days later.
After Jesus’ death, his body was taken down from the cross and placed in a tomb. The tomb was sealed and guarded by Roman soldiers. Three days later, on the first day of the week, an angel appeared to the women who had come to the tomb to anoint Jesus’ body with spices. The angel told them that Jesus had risen from the dead and instructed them to tell the disciples.
