Peter and John, two of Jesus' disciples, approach the beggar, and the beggar asks for some coins. Instead of giving him coins, Peter tells the beggar that he has no silver or gold, but what he has, he gives to him. Peter then commands the beggar to stand up and heals him in the name of Jesus Christ.
As a result of the healing, many people came to faith in Jesus Christ. It was a significant moment in the early Church's growth and a demonstration of the power of God at work.
