Andrew Saghy is a Life & Relationship Coach for more than 15 years. In those years he has wittnessed quite a few couples on the brink of their divorce. This book summarizes his 15 years experience in the field.

In the book he shows that we can handle even the "big" problems and more importantly we can prevent occuring them with some little changes in our lives.

Saving your marriage starts with a honest investigation of the current situation. He helps you with a number of questions (Chapter 1). Go through the questions (maybe with your spouse) and answer them honestly (be as honest as you are able to!)

The book continues with main marriage problems and tips and recommendations in each chapter.

  • Starts with the most important issues(Chapter 2):
    • do you trust each other? If not, you should learn some tricks and exercises and practice them
    • an equally important issue in yor relationships is how much do you respect each other - again you can learn and practice this skill with the advices given
    • how committed are you to maintain your marriage?
    • and the most important - how much do you love each other? Again you can learn and practice this skill as well
  • How much time and effort want each of you to invest in maintaining your marriage? (Chapter 3)
  • It is hard to believe but the small things count the most. Some little hugs, some kisses, some little gift (without reason) help much in saving your relationships (Chapter 4)
  • In a marriage you have to spend much time with your spouse, you should have common activities or hobbies together but equally important that both parties maintain their independence on certain areas (Chapter 5)
  • Anger, resentments - don't let them stow. The key is: forgiveness (Chapter 6)
  • In some cases the couple can't solve the problems on their own. There is still a solution: meet the professionals (Chapter 7)

This book is jam-packed with useful tips, advices, exercises, practices the author collected in the last 15 years. Not just read but practice them!!
