Fabel Retief is a former detective with the South African Detective Service, and wherever murders and mysterious cases are involved, you are sure to find Fabel. He earned his nickname from the fabled skill with which he solved the most intricate cases during his time with the South African Detective Service. The seven stories in the series cover a wide range of events, from a missing girl and a murder on a ship to a deserted house in a remote desert.
