The God's Thoughts Bible Study will help you build your thinking upon a strong foundation of Jesus Christ for successful and Godly thoughts.
A few minutes that could change your life! Two principles immediately come to mind upon reading Margaret Lukasik's excellent book, `God's Thoughts!' 1. Matthew 7:15 (KJV) - "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." 2. Acts 17:11 (NIV) - "Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." Although the principles and message embodied in the text are directed towards the Christian church, they apply equally well to those wishing to avoid entrapment by secular or pseudo-religious institutions. I believe that the opening sentence of the first chapter sets a perfect tone for the entire book, "This is not a book written to frighten you, it's a book written to enlighten you and make you think." The book begins with the profile of a follower and the concepts of mind control, including the observation that mind control comes in many subtle forms. Recognizing and admitting to the presence of a problem is, of course, the first step in moving towards a solution. Subsequent chapters take the reader through the process of moving from a state of mind control to one where they take full responsibility for their own actions. The reader learns how to think independently, perform critical evaluations of persuasions directed towards them, and how to live a life free of emotional domination. I liked how each chapter ends with a `Chapter Conclusion.' This is an excellent vehicle for reinforcing critical points and maintaining continuity throughout the presentation. The writing style is conversational and it makes the reader feel almost as if they were attending a seminar with the author as a speaker. The author's empathy and concern for the reader and their possible plight is evident throughout the verbiage. Overall, `God's Thoughts' is a quick read, easily perused in less than an hour; a small investment in time that may pay off for eternity, depending on your personal situation.
Excellent. Margaret Lukasik expounds upon the ills of falling into a complacent routine of worshiping God. Her descriptions of these type of people cannot be more accurate. Although a short book, it is concise and filled with the facts that a reader is looking for. Bravo!
