Letter Tracing Printable PDF

This printable has all 26 letters of the alphabet. The labelled guides for writing each letter in uppercase and lowercase letters helps with learning the formation of letter for independent handwriting. A picture of something that starts with that letter to help associate letters with animal names. Kids can have fun while building their muscles in their hands for gripping and builds muscle memory for kids to eventually write letters without even thinking about them.  There are some letters that are difficult to learn like C, G, J, Q, Z. There are also letters that are easier to learn like A, L, O and X. When learning the letters of  the alphabet, learning them out of order may help with learning to write them.  

1. Start by saying the letter out loud, either the child or yourself.
2. Identify the picture and accentuate the beginning letter sound.
3. Reinforce that the letter is the same sound in both lowercase and uppercase.
4. Trace the letter at the top with fingers and again with a pencil. Markers or crayons in multiple colors make it more fun!
5. Start with tracing the letters with proper form, then move on to independent writing.
