Precious Somosa is a mother of five and one grandsons.

Years ago my eldest son and father of my grandson, Jeremy who was then age 14, came to me as most teenagers do when they want something. He began complimenting me on my writing skills. He said “Mom you are the craziest mom ever and you write the best poems, songs, a mean grocery list and tell the best bedtime stories ever. I still enjoy listening to you read and I am almost a grown-up”, I was waiting for the punch line because I knew he was up to something. I listened, and he continued “why don’t you write children’s stories?” Amazed at what he had to say, I began to write immediately, within 20 minutes I found my muse, my children.

One of the most exciting, warm, educational, and loving things I ever wrote about in my life was my children. For this reason, these stories are being told through the eyes of a five-year-old girl and middle child of two older brothers and two younger sisters.
