Nancy Dinorath is a Canadian author, born in Montevideo, Uruguay. The idea for Boreal began during a vibrant vacation in the Dominican Republic, where a playful jest with a friend, a graceful swimmer with braids reminiscent of Bo Derek, inspired the name. “Boreal” grew from a blend of “half Bo,” reflecting her friend’s iconic braids, and “part fsh,” capturing her exceptional swimming ability. What began as a lighthearted exchange sparked her creativity, proving that even the most unexpected moments can ignite a world of imagination. Nancy enjoys tennis, hiking, writing song lyrics, graphic design, learning new things, and spending time with friends. She lives in Ontario, Canada.
